Dear friends and supporters,
Foyle-Štšura Duo hopes hopes that you are well and safe during these months of great sadness and uncertainty while the Covid-19 pandemic shakes our society.
Of course, most of our live performances have been cancelled or postponed, but we are working on some large-scale projects so stay tuned for more news.
Today we are excited to announce the release of a new single, recorded during the Great War Centenary sessions back in 2018. This is Sir Edward Elgar’s ‘Salut d’amour’, which was conceived as a musical greeting and an engagement present to Caroline Alice Roberts, the lady who would later become the composer’s wife. We hope this summery E major provides a welcome respite from the months of crisis. We would like to thank Challenge Classics for making this happen!
The track is available on Spotify and Apple Music.
