Foyle-Stsura Duo are excited to announce the release of the first instalment from the complete cycle of Beethoven’s Piano and Violin Sonatas, recorded in July 2020 for the Challenge Classics label. This was a special project, recorded in the middle of the international lockdown in Mechelen, Belgium, the home of Beethoven’s ancestors. Beethoven’s ‘struggle to victory’ narrative archetypes and emotional scope speak to us now with greater intensity than ever.
