On 11 November 2018, to mark the Centenary Anniversary of the Armistice Day, Foyle-Štšura Duo release their album ‘The Great War Centenary’ for Challenge Records, featuring wartime sonatas by Debussy, Janáček and Respighi and a new commission by Kenneth Hesketh. The special launch concert at Tindalvilla Bussum in Holland will be followed by events in Hexham, Edinburgh, London and Deal. In this interview Michael and Maksim discuss the repertoire and talk about their unique and moving experience of visiting the World War One trenches in Flanders, Belgium.
